14 Januari 2022 - 11:45:09The evaluation study measures the output and outcomes of poverty indicator against the inputs and plan and standards.. The evaluation was done by giving control over the research area, so that can know the pattern of changes that occur with increasing or decreasing certain indicators. The evaluation study was conducted in 17 sub-districts in Bantul district which represents the coast, plains, and mountains areas, as well as the urban and rural areas. Data were collected by qualitative and quantitative methods including observation, in-depth interviews and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The evaluation focused on three main aspects: (1) human resources, (2) indicators sensitiveness to measure poverty, and (3) the mechanism and purpose of the indicators. The result shows that (1) seven of the eleven poverty indicators are less sensitive for measuring poverty, such as residential buildings, sources of electric lighting, water usage, number of family members, eating less than 2 times a day, wealth, ability to get medication from primary health care, (2) There is variation in indicators of understanding between the officer, (3) data collection is not carried out through a rigor methodological stages, (4) data collection is still dependent, and (5) poverty indicators under evaluation are still emphasizing the fulfillment of basic needs rather than on empowerment aspect.
