14 Januari 2022 - 11:45:09One of the concepts existing in the discourse of family planning program is the unmet need that is the percentage of married women who do not want to have more children or postpone their pregnancy, but refuse to use contraceptives. The constraints in identifying the unmet need is the measurement and continuous monitoring for the entire area whereas the right model of measurement is expected to help decreasing unmet need.
CPPS, in cooperation with BKKBN tries to conduct a research that aims at 1) developing an instrument to monitor unmet need couples at the household and health center levels, 2) validating the use of measurement monitoring instrument indicators of unmet need couples for each type of contraceptive device, and 3) promoting the use of unmet need indicators in monitoring the progress of the implementation of unmet need couple reduction program. The research areas are purposively selected. They are Kabupaten Ngawi and Pemalang. The reason for choosing the two areas is that both are used for the piloting project SIDUGA and safe motherhood.
