British Petroleum Indonesia has conducted a range of policies, programs and CSR activities and community development which has a significant impact. For nearly a decade, the society as their beneficiaries, both in DAVs and non-DAVs, have experienced the changes. To determine the direction of these changes, it required a series of socio-economic assessments of social conditions around BP's Indonesian projects in Bintuni Bay Region. In these efforts, CPPS in collaboration with BP Indonesia conducted a series of census and socio-economic surveys in DAVs and Non-Davs in relation to the changes in quality of welfare and public perception of the existence of BP Indonesia. An analysis based on many perspectives and approaches was conducted to produce a comprehensive understanding regarding the condition of the targeted communities. In addition, through this activity BP Indonesia as the owner of the CSR program would be able to find out the deviations, program correctness and also could redirect the program as required.
